The Satgur Trust is a religious and truth-seeking organisation founded
on the spiritual teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is devoted to
developing the internal workings of the soul for those seeking the truth
under the guidance of a spiritual teacher (a Satgur).
The Satgur Trust aims to promote core spiritual teachings common to
many religions and faiths, which over the course of time and under the
influence of changing social values are in danger of becoming diluted or lost.
THE SATGUR TRUST
To advance the education of the general public in all areas relating to mental and physical well being through the promotion of meditation, yoga, exercise, food and research promoting the ethos of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
At the foundation of the Satgur Trust is the belief that the
purpose of life is to reunite with God and gain salvation.
This is achieved through the daily practice of meditation,
both individually and as part of a congregation (Sangat)
under the guidance of a spiritual mentor skilled in teaching
the daily integration of spiritual values into modern life.
Key values include leading a vegetarian lifestyle, abstaining
from alcohol and recreational drugs and promoting respect
and compassion for all that God has created.
