The Need For A Guide : Part 5

During the initial stages we may experience anger as results are slow in coming and we compare meditation with external values. Unnoticeable progress creates anger and is the most difficult stage.

Then we may experience frustration with the Guru’s teaching. The frustration is more at the random inner experiences than the external result. It has very little to do with ignorance and Guru’s knowledge removes our frustration. We learn to remove destructive emotions.

The final stage is where there is extreme discipline and greater self-control over emotions. The result becomes irrelevant as there is total inner peace. As we progress through stages/classes, we settle down with understanding and accept the reality of the process. We learn not to become sensitive to the results, just satisfied and remain focused on maintaining discipline.
